In an era defined by relentless pursuit and consumption, Erez Nevi Pana chose to pause.
EVERY THING, Pana’s inaugural comprehensive solo exhibition at the Museum on the Seam displays the unveiling of a decade’s worth of mental exploration that delves deep within the realms of materiality and identity. This exhibition unfolds as autobiographical research where Nevi Pana probes deep into personal values that shape moral principles that are integral to his creative ethos. EVERY THING reveals a fusion of past projects that transcends human welfare and embraces an all-inclusive perspective. Offering an alternative stance that spans the interconnectedness of design, mankind, and the full array of living forms. Through his work, Nevi Pana exemplifies an unwavering commitment to sustainability and reverence for life, offering a holistic viewpoint that challenges anthropocentric norms, prompting us to re-evaluate our relationship with the environment and with each other, inspiring a more conscious and compassionate way forward—for everyone, for all time.
Nevi Pana underscores his dedication to veganism, self-sustainability, waste reduction, recycling, and climate action, illuminating innovative avenues for experimentation with a distinct focus on humanity’s essence and the essence of being human. As a vegan designer, he navigates constraints imposed by the exclusion of a wide range of materials, embracing these limitations as a fertile ground whereas lies the opportunity for imagination, resourcefulness and creative ethical design solutions.
EVERY THING is presented anthologically, embodying a holistic unity akin to primordial life force, encompassing humans, animals, and materials alike. With a profound focus what it really means to feel human, Nevi Pana cultivates materials himself on the rooftop of his studio, pioneering a new frontier in design where the approach supersedes aesthetic. This exhibition serves as a platform to denounce the attitudes that have caused profound environmental disruptions and cruelty towards not only the flora and fauna, but fellow humans alike - questioning the essence of life and interaction with others who surround you.
Presented against the backdrop of Jerusalem, at the social seam between East and West, where three religions converge, visitors embark on a transformative journey towards conscious coexistence. They depart not only with memories of artistic brilliance but with a renewed sense of purpose and deepened connection to the world, infused with hopeful optimism for a brighter tomorrow.
